Look forward to a special menu by Phillip Vogel featuring creative touches, while you enjoy the magnificent view of Düsseldorf’s city skyline—accompanied by relaxing music and premium wines from local vintners and guest producers.
After that, the evening transforms into a modern lifestyle event on the water: carefully curated club music and the latest chart hits create an energetic, contemporary atmosphere.

Celebrity Chef Phillip Vogel
With its now almost legendary X-Berg Duck, Orania.Restaurant has made a name for itself in recent years even beyond the capital’s borders. Orania owes this success to its managing director and executive chef, Philipp Vogel. A native of Cologne, he is passionate about his profession, which has taken him from Michelin-starred kitchens in Shanghai, London, and Vienna to Berlin, ultimately transforming him from a Michelin-starred chef into a hotelier with the role of culinary director. Anyone who knows Philipp knows that behind his success lie not only passion but, above all, creativity and a great deal of hard work. The 43-year-old Cologne native is always on the lookout for a new challenge. This could be an appearance on the hit show Kitchen Impossible, a guest chef event in Switzerland, or a collaboration with a baked potato stand at the Viktualienmarkt. The main thing for Philipp: experiencing new things and, through that, creating something new.
Bosses in town
From September 25–27, 2026, “Chefs in Town” will turn Düsseldorf’s culinary scene upside down for the third time. Chefs in Town shines a spotlight on the culinary world and the people behind it. Everyone is warmly invited to be inspired by strong personalities and impressive craftsmanship. Numerous events throughout the city will create a spectacular culinary experience.
Important information
Tables and seats are allocated by KD according to possibilities and availability. Of course, we take into account the number of people and group sizes booked. Please note that our tables are designed for a limited number of people. Depending on the number of people booked, seating will be arranged together with other guests and, in the case of larger groups, at several contiguous tables.
Guests who are intoxicated or whose attire or behavior is inappropriate may be Boarding . Further information on the dress code on board can be foundhere.
Unfortunately,the MS RheinDiamondis not wheelchair accessible. The open deck and the restrooms can only be reached via steps.
