Köln-Düsseldorfer Deutsche Rheinschiffahrt AG is the oldest continuously listed public limited company in Germany and stands for tradition, trust and safety.
As a seasonal business, we generate our main revenue in the summer months and use the winter for maintenance and refurbishment work to keep our fleet in first-class condition at all times. To do this, we need a winter loan of 3 million euros every year. We would now like to finance EUR 1.5 million of this loan for the first time by issuing profit participation rights.
How did we come up with this idea? We thought about the fact that there are many people who are familiar with KD and have confidence in the company. By issuing profit participation rights, we offer you an investment opportunity with attractive interest rates and at the same time strengthen our independence in financing. If you make part of the money available to us, you will receive a fixed annual interest rate of 3.5%, regardless of the result.
It is therefore a classic win-win situation. You can achieve a much more attractive interest rate with amounts from 500 euros than with a traditional investment, while we strengthen our independence from banks in financing and pay you, not the banks, our interest.
