A relaxed Rhine cruise with a buffet lunch and a guided tour of the modern old town of Monheim – the day trip from Cologne to Monheim am Rhein combines relaxation, culture and enjoyment.
This day trip to Monheim am Rhein begins with an almost two-hour Rhine cruise, during which you can take in the passing scenery and enjoy delicious food from the included lunch buffet. Once you arrive in Monheim, you will learn more about the centuries-long history of the idyllic town on the Rhine between Düsseldorf and Cologne and get to know its most famous sights on a guided tour of the town. In one of the numerous restaurants in the picturesque old town, you can enjoy coffee and cake in peace and quiet or toast with a fresh Alt or Kölsch beer. Afterwards, the KD ship will take you back to Cologne in a relaxed manner.

Important information
The allocation of tables and seats is carried out by KD within the scope of possibilities and availability. Of course, we take into account the number of people and group sizes booked. Please note that our tables are designed for a limited number of people. Depending on the number of people booked, seating is arranged together with other guests and, in the case of larger groups, at several contiguous tables.
Included services & excursion tips
On the outward journey, we offer our guests a nice lunch buffet with a selection of hot and cold dishes, which you can help yourself to to your heart’s content.
On arrival in Monheim, the included city tour (in small groups) starts for all guests and ends in the old town. Afterwards there is plenty of free time. The recommended way back to the landing stage is via the Rhine dyke (approx. 1.5 km).
