This declaration refers to the website www.k-d.com.
We are committed to meeting the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1. Our goal is to achieve and maintain compliance level AA.
The AccessGO accessibility plugin(www.accessgo.de) from DGfB Deutsche Gesellschaft für Barrierefreiheit mbH is offered on our website.
This allows users to adapt our website to individual restrictions or preferences.
The settings can be called up via the AccessGO symbol or alternatively via the key combination "ALT + 1". All functions can also be controlled using the keyboard
Among other things, this makes it possible to adjust the following aspects:
- Font size
- Contrast
- Highlighting links
- Activating a screen reader
- Use the profiles to activate several settings at the same time.
Non-accessible content
Despite our efforts, there are areas of our website that are not (yet) fully accessible. We are aware of these shortcomings and are working to rectify them. The following areas in particular require improvement:
Older PDF documents: Numerous older PDF timetables, brochures and information materials are currently not yet fully tagged or structured according to WCAG standards and are therefore only accessible to screen readers to a limited extent. We are working on a gradual revision of these documents.
Complex booking systems and timetable displays: Our online booking systems and interactive timetable displays currently still have barriers and are not fully usable with assistive technologies such as screen readers. We are in the process of reviewing and optimizing these functionalities to ensure comprehensive accessibility.
