Köln-Düsseldorfer Deutsche Rheinschiffahrt GmbH is celebrating a major anniversary in 2026. The company will be a proud 200 years old. The exciting history of KD officially began on June 11, 1826 with the founding of the Preußisch-Rheinische Dampfschiffahrts-Gesellschaft.
This 200-year history is filled with exciting and surprising stories, shaped by the faces of the people who are part of them, and there are countless secrets that are far from all having been revealed. Starting in January 2026, under the hashtag #kdmoments, 200 stories, faces, and secrets await you across all KD channels.

During the week surrounding KD founding date KD June 11), we’re offering all scheduled trips at a flat rate of 20 euros. Just click “Book Tickets Now,” select the anniversary ticket during the booking process, and save up to 52 euros. While supplies last!
