Important Information About the MS RheinMagie:

Unfortunately, our ship, the MS RheinMagie, is also affected by the current low-water conditions. Due to its draft, the ship can no longer safely navigate the current water levels in the Cologne area, but will still be able to participate in the Cologne Lights festival.
Please note, however, that the MS RheinMagie will be moored at the Bastei Nord pier for the duration of the event and will not leave its berth during the event. The originally planned boat tour has therefore been canceled.
Thanks to its prime mooring location, however, the spacious open deck offers an excellent view of the drone show as well as the grand fireworks display at the end.

We deeply regret the inconvenience this has caused. At the same time, we ask for your understanding that we have no control over the exceptional water levels and their effects. We are also confident that, despite the circumstances, all guests will have a wonderful evening aboard the MS RheinMagie and that the front-row view of the fireworks will be an unforgettable experience.


Important Information About the MS Petersberg:

As you have no doubt gathered from recent news reports, water levels on the Rhine are currently extremely low. These exceptionally low water levels are significantly disrupting shipping and have already led to numerous cancellations of trips along large sections of the Rhine.

Unfortunately, the MS Petersberg is also affected by this situation. Due to its draft, the ship can no longer safely navigate the current water level in the Cologne area and will therefore be unable to participate in the Cologne Lights festival.

We would like to sincerely apologize to all affected guests and their traveling companions for this last-minute cancellation. At the same time, we ask for your understanding that we have no control over the exceptional water levels and their effects.
We will contact all affected guests directly via email as soon as possible to provide them with the necessary information and offer alternatives.


Information from the organizer: New plans for the boat parade at the "Kölner Lichter"festival:

Due to low water levels, the boat parade—which was scheduled to set off from Porz at 9:20 p.m. toward the city center—cannot take place as planned. New plans are currently being drawn up with the Waterways and Shipping Authority.
The boats will sail from their respective starting positions toward Niehl, turn around there, and then take up their positions in front of the Tanzbrunnen so that all guests can view the fireworks and the drone show.
