Booking
How can I book event cruises?
You can buy our event cruises in our online store. The accepted payment methods are PayPal, Visa, MasterCard, Maestro and American Express. We are also available for bookings at hotelservice(at)k-d.com or +49 221 2088 511.
At what times is your hotline available?
You can reach us Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 16:30.
When will I receive my travel documents?
Your travel documents will be sent by e-mail (after full payment of the trip) at least 10 days before the start of your trip. There you will find all the information about your trip, including the berth for embarkation.
What are the cancellation conditions for an event cruise?
The cancellation conditions for event cruises are as follows:
Up to 90 days before departure: 20 % of the cabin price,
89 - 30 days before departure: 35 % of the cabin price,
29 - 21 days before departure: 45 % of the cabin price,
20 - 11 days before departure: 60 % of the cabin price,
10 - 2 days before departure: 70 % of the cabin price,
1 day before departure or no-show: 90 % of the cabin price. No-show: 90 % of the cabin price.
In all cases, a minimum of € 25 per person will be charged.
One person has dropped out, can I take someone else with me?
Yes, name changes are generally possible. Please contact us at hotelservice(at)k-d.com or +49 221 2088 511. Depending on the urgency of the name change, fees of up to €75 may be incurred.
Can I take out travel cancellation insurance with you?
It is not possible to book travel cancellation insurance directly with us. However, you will receive a link with your booking documents which you can use to take out travel cancellation insurance with our partner, the HanseMerkur Insurance Group. We strongly recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.
Can I choose a cabin number?
You are welcome to inform us of your non-binding cabin request via our booking system and when booking via our Service Center, subject to availability. However, we would like to expressly point out that details of your cabin number on the booking confirmation are not part of the contract and that we reserve the right to assign you a different cabin. If you have been allocated a cabin other than the one booked, we will be happy to work with you to find a solution.
Payment
What payment methods are available on board the KD Moment?
You can pay on board in cash, with EC, girocard, VISA and Mastercard. Please check with your bank in advance about possible card fees. The currency on board the KD Moment is the euro. Please note that currency exchange is not possible on board the KD Moment. All drinks outside the drinks package, as well as other on-board expenses, will be charged to your on-board account and settled at the end of the voyage.
What are the payment methods for event cruise bookings?
20% of the total price is due when booking (in the online store) or within 14 days of booking (when booking by telephone or email). The remaining 80% is due 30 days before departure. If you have booked in the online store, you will receive a payment link with the confirmation, with which you can pay the balance. We ask you to check your emails regularly shortly before the trip.
I have a KD voucher and would like to redeem it for an event cruise. Unfortunately it doesn't work in the store, what do I have to do?

Can a KD value voucher be redeemed on board the KD Moment for drinks, for example?
No, unfortunately this is not possible at the moment.
Departure
What identification documents do I need for an event cruise?
EU citizens require a valid identity document (identity card, passport) for all journeys with KD Moment. Citizens of other countries should enquire at their local consulate.
At which jetty does MS KD Moment dock?
The berth is different for each voyage. You will receive information on arrival and the berth at which your trip begins in your travel documents no later than 10 days before the start of your trip.
Can I park free of charge at the mooring?
We have no partnerships with surrounding parking lots and parking garages, which is why we cannot offer you free parking. We recommend various parking options in your travel documents, which you will receive from us at least 10 days before departure. However, please inform yourself about the price and the entrance height of the parking garage/parking lot.
During the journey
How are the cabins equipped?
All double cabins on our hotel ship are modern and equipped to a high standard. They have separable double beds, shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone, individually adjustable air conditioning/heating and a safe. In addition to a shower, our suites also have a bathtub and a balcony. The cabins and suites on Decks Two and Three have private balconies with lounge seating and floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows.
Are excursions offered on the trips?
No, we do not offer any excursions. However, we will send you some information and sights of the various cities with your travel documents so that you can plan your stay ashore individually and tailored to you.
Is there WLAN on board?
MS KD Moment offers WLAN in the public areas. Depending on the route or berth, there may be restrictions or a complete loss of connection; we cannot guarantee a permanent internet connection. For login details and other questions regarding use, please contact reception.
Is smoking allowed on board the KD Moment?
Smoking is only permitted in the designated and defined areas on the outside deck. Smoking is prohibited in the ship's rooms, cabins and on the private balconies on Deck Two and Deck Three! Please also never throw a cigarette overboard, but only in the ashtrays provided for this purpose. In addition, the consumption of cannabis on board is generally not permitted.
Is MS KD Moment barrier-free?
Unfortunately, the ship is not ideally suited for guests with limited mobility. The elevator connects the restaurant with the saloon, Deck Two and Three. However, Deck One, where the restaurant is located, can only be reached via stairs, as can the sun decks. The only ground-level access to the outside is the outdoor area in front of the bar. The bathrooms in the cabins are only accessible via a threshold. Please contact us at hotelservice(at)k-d.com or +49 221 2088 511 regarding your individual needs.
Can I take my dog on board the KD Moment?
No, animals are generally not allowed on board the KD Moment.
Can I take my child on a cruise?
In principle, yes. Children under the age of 12 receive a 20% discount. However, we would like to expressly point out that there are no facilities on board for (small) children under the age of 12, such as changing/nursing facilities, baby carriages, highchairs and extra beds. It should also be noted that an extra bed does not fit in all cabin categories. Please contact us at hotelservice(at)k-d.com or +49 221 2088 511 regarding your individual requirements.
Are there any items that I am not allowed to take on board?
Heatable appliances (irons, kettles, curling irons, hair straighteners, etc.) and dangerous objects (e.g. fireworks) are not permitted on board.
Gastronomy
Can I still book the drinks package on board?
Yes, the drinks package can still be booked directly at check-in.
Can the drinks package also be booked for individual persons?
The drinks package can only be booked for all guests in a cabin.
Can seats in the restaurant be reserved in advance?
The exact seating will be determined on board, we cannot reserve tables in advance. However, you are welcome to let us know in advance if you are part of a larger group that would like to be seated together so that the ship can plan accordingly.
I have certain dietary requirements, can these be taken into account?
Please report any allergies or intolerances when booking in the "Information on intolerances" field. If you have not booked online, please let us know as early as possible, but no later than 7 days before the trip at hotelservice(at)k-d.com or +49 221 2088 511, so that our chef can take these into account as far as possible. Please understand that we may not be able to accommodate dietary requests that are only communicated to us on board.
