There are plenty of attractive destinations on the Rhine - and not just upstream from Cologne. The Lower Rhine also has plenty to see, so the KD regularly weighs anchor to head for the pretty little town of Zons. During the trip, you can relax and enjoy the passing scenery and delicious food from the included lunch buffet. The former customs fortress of the archbishops of Cologne attracts visitors with its almost intact historic town wall and plenty of medieval charm, which you can enjoy to the full during your three-hour stay before returning to the cathedral city by boat in the afternoon.
