Festival of the 1000 lights Andernach

The town of young bakers and a glittering carpet of lights are the main protagonists at this dazzling festival – and the KD offers the perfect seat with a direct view of the spectacle.

The word “Rhine romance” probably best describes the atmosphere in Andernach: After all, the Rhine facilities on Konrad-Adenauer-Allee shine brightly during the Festival of 1000 Lights, enchanting an entire town. The crowning glory of the two-day event is the spectacular fireworks display, whose exploding rockets paint beautiful pictures in the night sky – best viewed from the water and, of course, on board the KD.
