Amsterdam, here we come: The KD Club Ships are heading for the Dutch metropolis. River cruises from Düsseldorf with a party aboard are a completely new addition to the programme. The hotel ship sets sail from there, destination: Amsterdam. This offer is the larger, more diverse variation on the popular party series aboard the KD event ships.

In Amsterdam, there’s an entire day in which to discover the bustling city, with its numerous museums, world-famous canals and extraordinary markets.

These multiple-day, short party cruises last 2, 3 or 4 nights. The longer tours offer an opportunity to explore other Dutch port cities including Nijmegen, Rotterdam or Arnhem. The programme of entertainment aboard the floating hotel ships MS Swiss Crystal or MS Oscar Wilde vary with the length of the tour. The period features major hits by international artists such as Roxette, Wham, Alphaville, George Michael, Jennifer Rush, Elton John and Tina Turner. The German music of the 1980s was influenced by artists of the Neue Deutsche Welle, such as Joachim Witt, Hubert Kah, Markus, Nena and Peter Schilling. The ‘Schlager’ entertainment package includes their hits as well. They are joined by classics by stars such as Roland Kaiser, Andy Borg, Nicole, Peter Maffay, Falco and Howard Carpendale. The ‘Best of ’ motto offers an exciting blend of different musical styles. There, the hits of the 1980s/1990s meet House, Electro and the best of the latest charts. No matter what the motto, guests will always have absolutely dance-ready party music to look forward to. And to yoga with beer and champagne. That may sound funny and bubbly. ‘And it is. There’s no reason yoga has to be dry; there’s a tingly variation to consider, too’, Michael Baumann explains. This yoga session features a glass of sparkling wine or beer to warm up with, making poses such as the sun salutation and downward dog even smoother.

The days spent together aboard the hotel ship certainly have a very positive effect on team motivation. Even clubs whose members have not been able to gather and celebrate for a long time can relax aboard KD, make fresh plans and simply enjoy a few days’ of pampering. The floating hotel ships MS Swiss Crystal and MS Oscar Wilde are just right for this. They are elegant, fully air-conditioned river cruise ships of the comfort class. MS Swiss Crystal can accommodate up to 125 passengers. All cabins are exterior cabins, with panorama glazing and a deluxe double bed. The ship has a sauna and whirlpool on the sundeck. It is fitted with a lift and stair lifts to the restaurant and sundeck. The MS Oscar Wilde can accommodate up to 176 guests, with cabins and suites spread across three, fully air-conditioned cabin decks. The vessel features a nail salon, a hairdresser and massage salon as well as a gym. The sundeck offers sunbeds and a whirlpool, among other things. The ship also features a putting green that will delight golf enthusiasts.

Full board included

In addition to the entertainment programme, the party cruises to Amsterdam include full board, beginning with dinner on board on the day of arrival and ending with breakfast on the day of departure. In addition to breakfast, lunch and dinner, afternoon and midnight snacks are available as well. A beverage package including sparkling wine, wine, beer, soft drinks and hot drinks is offered for all trips
