In the Fairytale Forest you will find a selection of the best of Grimm’s fairytales. The artist Willi Zeh has used old editions of the fairytales word for word to visualise the fairytales for you. The moving and talking figures are handmade. At the press of a button, they relate a scene from a fairytale, and the speaker is none other than the well-known Konrad Beikircher.
Historical narrow-gauge railway Vulkan-Express
The Brohltal Valley Railway’s Vulkan-Express will take you from the Rhine to the Eifel mountains! On a track almost 18 km in length, the trains not only overcome a difference in height of around 400 metres, but also stop at nine stations in the romantic Brohltal Valley. The stations provide ideal starting points for hikes through the Vulkanpark Brohltal Valley/Laach Lake and for discovering villages, some of which are original villages left from the past, in the heart of a fantastic landscape of low mountains.
