A pleasant evening with friends
During the evening cruises, guests are served a sumptuous starter plate at their seats, and other cold and hot delicacies are available at the buffet. Self-service is not possible, but also not necessary. KD service staff hand over guests’ personal choice of food. The desired drinks (soft drinks, beer and wine) are served at the table. The perfect music for a pleasant evening with friends and colleagues is provided by an experienced DJ. So relaxation and a great mood in a relaxed atmosphere are guaranteed.
Coffee is ready!
The first breakfast is already waiting for brunch guests on a set table with reserved seats. Guests will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice, crusty rolls, fluffy croissants and a selection of bread, freshly brewed coffee (tea is also available on request) and a sumptuous selection of sausage and cheeses, honey, fruit spread and nut-chocolate cream. Scrambled eggs with or without sausage, fried bacon and grilled tomato topped with cheese are available at the buffet. Around midday, the selection at the buffet stations changes. There will be fish and meat dishes such as turkey stew with mushrooms or roast pork, as well as side dishes like “spätzle” noodles, potatoes and vegetables, beetroot gnocchi and polenta au gratin. A range of desserts rounds off the selection. Service is always a top priority. All selected dishes are handed to guests by service staff. The KD brunch cruise is an ideal start to Sunday for the whole family. Afterwards, take a stroll through the old town or along the Rhine promenade.
State-of-the-art air conditioning
KD will of course continue to follow its hygiene and protection concept for the containment of coronavirus, which was successfully trialled last year. That means above all: Markings on the floor regulate the distances. There is a route guidance concept on the boat to direct visitors along a one-way system. A dispenser with hand sanitiser can be found in the entrance area of the boats. All passengers are asked to disinfect their hands before boarding the boat. The passenger toilets are also equipped with hand sanitiser dispensers.
State-of-the-art air-conditioning systems on board the KD event boats provide fresh outside air in all enclosed rooms. This ensures optimal air exchange and the removal of aerosols.
Masks when not seated
Masks should be worn in all areas where people gather and cannot socially distance. Even for passengers who have been fully vaccinated against, have recently recovered from or have tested negative for coronavirus we recommend to wear a mask. Therefore, masks must be worn when purchasing tickets, in waiting areas and also inside the boats. Guests can remove their masks when seated. Outdoors, the mask requirement has been largely lifted, so passengers no longer have to wear masks outdoors and on the open deck on KD cruises if the minimum distance of 1.5 metres can be observed.
