Great choirs on board
The Bayer Leverkusen male voice choir can look back on a tradition covering more than a century. Founded in 1904, it is one of the most famous male voice choirs in the Rhineland. With a colourful mixture of magnificent melodies, it will ensure a relaxed summery afternoon on “Father Rhine”.
“Swing om Rhing” (Swing on the Rhine) will be the motto on 21 August when the young generation takes to the KD stage and Cologne’s celebrated St. Stephan Youth Choir, conducted by Michael Kokott, is welcomed on board. For three decades this mixed choir, which is one of the most successful church youth choirs in Germany, has filled large halls and appeared in TV shows. Its repertoire extends from gospel, pop, comedy and songs in Cologne dialect to classical music and jazz.
