The historical town of Rhens, Brey with its Roman history and Spay with its prize-winning vineyards They lie juxtaposed in the great bend of the Rhine, within the UNESCO World Heritage Site Upper Middle Rhine Valley.

Between Koblenz and Boppard lie the historical town of Rhens and the Rhine villages Brey and Spey. Take a walk along the 5km long river promenade which links them, and explore the Königsstuhl (king's seat), the historical town wall, preserved almost in its entirety, half-timbered houses, the Roman aquaduct, Chapel of St. Peter, and prize-winning vineyards. Due to their proximity to many places of interest the three villages form a popular base from which to explore the many sights of the World Heritage Site.

Information concerning the landing-stage

  • The KD landing-stage in Rhens is accessible to passengers with restricted mobility.
  • Passengers are requested to be at the landing-stage 15 minutes before the scheduled sailing time. 
  • Passengers who have not purchased their ticket at the KD ticket office in Rhens are requested to report at the ticket office.
  • Payment options: cash.

Getting to the landing-stage by public transport

By regional train MRB (Mittelrheinbahn) to Rhens Station, approx. 6 min. walk.

Getting to the landing-stage by car

From the main road B9 coming from the north (Koblenz) turn right into the historical town of Rhens, carrying straight on down Koblenzer Strasse/Hochstrasse to the KD landing-stage. Parking is available to the right of the street. 

Information for coaches

There is special parking available for coaches on the square in front of the station / fire station, 6 minutes walk to the landing-stage, or on Koblenzer Strasse (towards Koblenz). 10 minutes walk from the landing-stage.

Loreley tour

St. Goarshausen is where you will find the magical Loreley, which attracts thousands of people from all over the world each year. Many romantic castles, the imperial palace near Kaub and the fortress of Schönburg by Oberwesel proudly watch over the valley of the Loreley and, cloaked in legend, are witnesses of an eventful history.
