Oberlahnstein

Located in one of the most beautiful regions on the Rhine, Lahnstein lies in the midst of two UNESCO World Heritage sites: the Germanic-Rhaetian Limes and the Upper Middle Rhine Valley.

In Lahnstein, where the River Lahn flows into the Rhine and the forests of the Westerwald and Taunus meet the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, the visitor finds plenty of recreational activities. He can tread in the footsteps of the Romans, take a journey back in time to the world of medieval castles and palaces, or stay in the present and go hiking through the unspoilt countryside.
