Moselkern is a wine-growing village with more than 2,000 years of history. Its location makes it a good starting point for visits to the world famous Castle Eltz.

The village contains some beautiful buildings, most notably the town hall, the oldest part of which dates back to 1535. It was lovingly restored and is a perfect example of Moselle half-timbered architecture. There are around 8 hectares of vineyards in Moselkern, most of which are worked manually because of their steepness.
