Please note the following general information regarding low water levels:

Due to low water levels and the resulting restrictions on boat traffic, there may unfortunately be delays in the scheduled departure times for regular service.

Some landing docks along the Rhine are currently very steep due to the low water levels. Please note that, for insurance reasons, the crew is not permitted to assist guests with boarding or disembarking, and guests must load and unload bicycles, trailers, and e-bikes onto and off the boat themselves.
Guests with limited mobility must rely on the assistance of their fellow passengers.

Stations closed due to low water levels:

The listed stations cannot currently be served, or can only be served by certain ships:

  • Bad Honnef (for all KD and KD )
  • Wesseling (applies to MS Beethoven)

• Middle Rhine:
  • Koblenz Station (currently valid as part of the Nostalgia Route)
  • Oberlahnstein Stop (currently valid for all ships on all KD )
  • Braubach Station (currently valid as part of the Nostalgia Route)
  • Kamp Bornhofen Stop (currently valid for all vessels on all KD )
  • St. Goarshausen Stop (currently valid for all ships on all KD )
  • Assmannshausen Station (currently valid for all ships on all KD )
  • Oberwesel Station (currently valid for all ships on all KD )
  • Lorch Station (currently valid for all KD )

Change in Schedule for the Nostalgia Route:

Due to the ongoing low water levels and the associated restrictions, our paddlewheel boat Goethe can unfortunately no longer be operated. And based on long-term forecasts, other KD vessels will also be unable to operate on this route without significant restrictions.
For this reason, the Nostalgia Route will unfortunately be completely canceled until the end of the season on October 4, 2026.

• 10:00 a.m. Boppard – St. Goar – Boppard. Starting August 21, the MS Rheinkrone will operate the scheduled Boppard – St. Goar – Boppard route without any stops.
• 1:00 p.m. Boppard – St. Goar – Boppard. Starting August 21, the MS Rheinkrone will operate on the Boppard – St. Goar – Boppard route without any stops.
• 4:00 p.m. Boppard – St. Goar – Boppard. Starting August 21, the MS Rheinkrone will operate on the Boppard – St. Goar – Boppard route without any stops.

Panoramic Tours of Cologne, Restrictions Due to Low Water Levels:

Depending on current water levels and traffic volume, the route for the Cologne Panorama Cruises may need to be adjusted. Should this occur, the captain on board will inform passengers of the changed route.

Pier 7 and 8 in Cologne (below the Hohenzollern Bridge, departure point for the MS RheinHarmonie and MS Willi Ostermann) are particularly steep. Guests with limited mobility will need assistance from their fellow passengers.

Düsseldorf Panorama Cruises, restrictions due to low water levels:

Depending on current water levels and traffic volume, the route for the Düsseldorf Panorama Cruises may need to be adjusted, and it may not be possible, for example, to enter the Medienhafen.

The second landing bridge in Düsseldorf at Burgplatz (LB BP 2), which is used by the MS RheinPoesie on select dates, is very steep and, due to the steps leading down to the pontoon, is only suitable to a very limited extent for passengers with limited mobility.
