KD event rides offer glamour, pleasure and the galactic

“There are dinners with a unique selling point, Cologne stories with charm and cabaret artists with vision”
Guests can look forward to surprising moments with culinary, cabaret, musical and murderously exciting offers on the KD event trips. The popular dinner cruises of Köln-Düsseldorfer Deutsche Rheinschiffahrt are a pleasure with a unique selling point
Excellent chefs demonstrate their individual class, each of the virtuosos at the stove composes a 4-course menu especially for “his” KD dinner cruise, which he prepares together with the KD kitchen crew on the day of the event. On request, there is a wine accompaniment to match the menu. Enjoyable evenings with Jaspreet Dhaliwal-Wilmes and Olaf Baumeister are on offer. Jaspreet Dhaliwal-Wilmes runs the restaurant “Der Vierte König” in Cologne, where he particularly delights lovers of French and Indian cuisine. Olaf Baumeister runs the Hotel and Restaurant Seegarten, the Restaurant Seegärtnerei and the Bistro El Diablo in Sundern am Sorpesee in the Sauerland region. The pleasure ambassador of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia for the Sauerland region spoils guests with his compositions of seasonal specialties.
EVENTFAHRTEN IN DÜSSELDORF: Murderers are not on the guest list
Crime makes its entrance on board the new KD Eventliner MS RheinGalaxie. The original crime dinner is a guarantee for murderously good entertainment. In the episode “Night of Terror”, Lord Ashtonburry celebrates his 60th birthday at Darkwood Castle in Scotland. Among others, the members of the Pudding Club, an association for the preservation of Scottish customs, are present. Tragically, an uninvited guest seeks and finds his victims in the midst of the party.
When it’s called “Sherlock Holmes and the Curse of the Ashtonburrys”, the action takes place at Lady Augusta II’s masked ball. Sherlock Holmes is also invited. However, he doesn’t get to celebrate. When a murder occurs at the party, the ingenious detective sets about solving the case. Because a successful murder hunt requires strength, a 3-course murder mystery dinner is served on each of the murder mystery evenings.
The Rhenish universe
The cabaret artist, musician and author Konrad Beikircher has been living for many years in a microcosm in which many things take getting used to for him (and others): the language, the carnival, the church, the food and in general. He recounts his experiences in and with this most enigmatic of worlds in his program “Das rheinische Universum”. It’s about truths, half-truths and people who may be strange, but are nevertheless wonderful. The 3-course menu comes from the universe of the KD kitchen.
Frank Sinatra & Friends
Mister “Blue Eyes” Frank Sinatra presents his new show at Hollywood Night and gets the audience involved. Miss Hollywood aka Marilyn Monroe will also be there as a star guest. A dream world. Rousing songs and soulful ballads will turn the evening under the motto “Frank Sinatra & Friends” into a glamorous event. As part of a 3-course menu, guests become part of the ensemble.
EVENTFAHRTEN IN KÖLN: Old Cologne stories
The singer, actor and speaker Gerd Köster invites you to a musical reading. In “Tasse ha’mer jo noch” he presents old Cologne stories and poems. With his unique voice, Gerd Köster brings memories from the past back to life. Musical support comes from Frank Hocker and Pit Haaser. This will be accompanied by a 3-course menu from the KD galley.
Comedy on the spin cycle
The cult show “Nightwash live” promises top-class comedy at full speed. It has been the most successful live comedy show in the German-speaking world for years. Popular comedians and newcomers perform stand-up comedy and promise the best entertainment. “Nightwash live” has been the springboard to the top for many top artists. Artists such as Mario Barth, Carolin Kebekus and Chris Tall made their first appearances on “Nightwash live”. On October 8, there will be comedy in the spin cycle on board from Christiane Olivier, Assane, the winner of the Nightwash Talent Award 2022, Alex Stoldt and Tobi Freudenthal.
Jürgen Becker remains optimistic
“So, now let’s have a nice evening”: the original voice of Cologne cabaret artist Jürgen Becker. He keeps this promise with his current program “The cause lies in the future”. Among other things, it deals with the question: “What holds the world together?” Jürgen Becker doesn’t know either, but he has answers. He reminds us that capitalism is based on infinite growth. It can’t stay that way. Jürgen Becker remains optimistic and encourages himself and his audience. Even if we don’t know whether we will go to heaven after death and how much the next utility bill will be. Everything will be fine. On board the KD at the cultural dinner with a Rhenish 3-course menu in any case.
Starry lessons with Konrad Beikircher
The exceptional artist Konrad Beikircher takes a humorous look at what he sees as the ironic and comical madness surrounding Christmas. The Christmas special features stories, poems and personal anecdotes from the great master of cabaret and a 3-course menu
