The Free Birthday Cruise*

On your birthday, no matter how old you are, you can sail on KD free of charge.


Children's fares

Children under 4 travel free.
Children over 4 and under 14 pay only € 5.00 on all round-trip and scheduled cruises.
Wednesday is Family Day! For each fare-paying adult up to 3 children (4-13 years) travel free on all scheduled services.
(Valid for a maximum of 3 children accompanied by a full fare-paying adult. Does not apply to groups)


Family Ticket*

We now offer a special Family Ticket for 2 adults and 2 children (under 14) at a fixed price of € 53 This day ticket is valid for any return journey within the whole of KD's scheduled network. (round trip cruises € 21).


Senior Citizens' Fares*

Passengers over 60 years of age travel Mondays and Fridays for half price on all scheduled cruises.  


Scholars'/Students' Fares (under 28)*

50 % reduction on adult fares on all scheduled cruises upon presentation of a valid student identity card.




To make your trips on KD even more enjoyable, we offer the KD Rhine Card. For only € 30 per year this gives you 50% reduction on all cruises as well as numerous other benefits*. Go on - treat yourself!




To connect with your KD cruise Köln-Königswinter or Bonn - Linz and back you may travel on all local public transport (VRS) free of charge. Special tickets can be purchased at KD landing stages, VRS sales outlets or at DB ticket machines.
Other fare reductions are inapplicable.  




Reductions for adult groups

10 % for 10 or more full fare-paying adults
15 % for 20 or more full fare-paying adults
20 % for 30 or more full fare-paying adults
25 % for 40 or more full fare-paying adults
(does not apply to event cruises and catering services)




Tuesday is Bicycle Day at KD, which means that 2 cyclists need buy only one ticket (single journeys only). Does not apply on partner shipping companies).  

At each KD landing stage you will receive a 20% discount off the KD schedule tariffs when you present a valid German Rail ticket. At German Rail ticket offices you can book attractively priced ship/rail combinations. Additional German Rail offers are available on request.
